Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
It was built from 1922 to 1931 that had an 8-meter (26ft) pedestal with a 30-meter (98ft) high statue, so the total is 38-meter high from pedestal to the top. The arms stretch 28 meters (92ft) wide.
This statue is located at the peak of the 700-meter (2,300ft) mountain of Corcovado in the Tijuca Forest National Park, that you also can overlook the city of Rio de Janeiro from here.
According to the free encyclopedia of Wikipedia’s document shown that that statue become a place of New 7 Wonders of World, that was chosen from 2000~2007 even though that statue was built between 1922~1931, but it is very amazing that statue was listed in the New 7 Wonders of World.
This Statue history is not so long, but the significance of this statue is being represented the Brazilian loves the peace, and the city of Rio de Janeiro under the survey of God and also is being protected by God.
